Migration steps

- Sign up for ConsentBit and add your site.
- Run a fresh cookie scan; don’t rely on the old tool’s inventory; ConsentBit’s scan may find things the other tool missed.
- Configure the banner to match your existing branding so visitors don’t see a sudden change.
- Install the ConsentBit script in your site’s <head> (see Platform-Specific Setup).
- Test on a staging environment if possible. Confirm the banner shows, scripts block correctly, and consent is recorded.
- Remove the old tool’s script from your <head>. Don’t have both running at once , they’ll conflict.
- Republish your site.
- Test again on production in incognito mode.
