  • Does using ConsentBit make my website GDPR compliant?
Using ConsentBit correctly satisfies the cookie consent part of GDPR, which is one major requirement. GDPR also covers data processing in general, privacy policies, data subject rights, breach notification, and more. ConsentBit can’t make you fully GDPR compliant by itself — you also need a Privacy Policy and proper data handling practices. But for the cookie banner part, yes, ConsentBit is designed to meet GDPR’s prior-consent requirements.
  • Do I need a cookie banner if I only use Google Analytics?
If you have any visitors from the EU, UK, EEA, California, or Brazil, yes. Google Analytics sets cookies that count as non-essential under GDPR/CCPA/LGPD. You need consent before they’re set. Even Google’s own documentation recommends a CMP.
  • Does ConsentBit support Google Consent Mode v2?
Yes, ConsentBit is a Google-certified CMP. See Section 7.3.
  • What about IAB TCF v2.3?
Yes, fully supported. ConsentBit generates TCF v2.3-compliant consent strings, including the mandatory disclosedVendors segment that became required on February 28, 2026, and passes them to all participating IAB-registered vendors. See Section 7.4.
  • Can ConsentBit produce documentation for an audit?
Yes. Generate an audit report from Site → Audit → Generate report (Section 11.5).
  • What about cookies that are set before the script loads?
This is usually a sign the ConsentBit script isn’t first in the <head>. See Section 16.2.
